While many of us enjoyed watching the HBO drama Big Love, starring Bill Paxton as a polygamist with three wives, we're even more fascinated by the Brown family since they're a real life example. We first began watching Kody Brown and his four wives on the TLC reality series Sister Wives in 2010 and since the show has so many seasons, there has been a lot to catch up on.

Now that Christine Brown has left Sister Wives, fans wonder what the relationship between Kody's four wives is actually like. Through the show's episodes and some interviews, the wives are pretty honest and open about what their life looks like. Keep reading to find out what the Brown family on Sister Wives really thinks about each other.

The COVID-19 Pandemic Has Affected The Brown Family

Meri Brown has talked about her marriage and fans are still eager to learn more about this unique situation. Kody Brown has 18 kids and four wives.

Meri Brown talked about the pandemic and how her family is dealing with it.

According to People, Meri spoke about the situation in a recent episode of the reality series and Meri told Robyn that she thought that Robyn was putting strict rules in place for how the family would see each other during this time.

Fans learned that Kody came up with the rules but Robyn isn't having a great time right now because she's concerned that Kody's other wives and children aren't seeing him much. Because Kody has been staying at Robyn's house, Robyn said she "didn't sign up for monogamy" and she doesn't like this.

When Meri and Robyn Brown finally saw each other again after isolating during the pandemic, Meri had many feelings about the reunion, according to Cheat Sheet.

When this reunion was filmed for an episode of Sister Wives, Meri talked about how much this meant to her and said, “I’m just glad that this is finally happening. It’s just been a really, really long time. It’s just not normal and natural for family to be separated like this. I missed hugs from these kids. I’ve missed hanging out with them.”

Robyn explained, "We’re very affectionate, and it’s a really big deal that we are able to hug and touch someone else. It’s been hard for them, but they’ve had a good attitude.”

Do The 'Sister Wives' Get Along?

While some viewers watching Sister Wives might think that Kody's wives wouldn't like each other and that there would be a lot of jealousy, that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

According to Us Weekly, fans got to see the positive relationship that some of the wives have with each other when the Brown family celebrated Thanksgiving. It seems like Robyn and Meri are fairly close as they made the meal together.

Kody wasn't happy, though, and he told the camera, “I would never again, for the rest of my life, ever want to have wives sharing a kitchen. There is a tendency from what I’ve seen to be this vying for power and position or relinquishing power and position to get along... I never want to see my wives sharing a kitchen ever."

Despite what Kody said, the wives had fun, with Robyn saying, “Meri and I actually work really well in the kitchen together. I don’t know how it would be if we lived together and shared a kitchen, but when we work together for holidays, we actually work really well together.”

Meri and Janelle don't seem to have the best relationship, however. Meri and Janelle each said that they tried to be friendly first and the other person wasn't receptive, according to TV Shows Ace.

It also seems that while not everyone in the family is the best of friends, they are honest with each other and try to help each other out. According to People, when Christine shared that she was going to break up with Kody and step away from the family, Meri talked to her to make sure that this was really what she wanted. Christine explained that she is too envious of Kody's other three partners: "I'm really sorry — I still get jealous. I still get super, super, super jealous and I'm really, really, really sorry."
