Is there an episode of The View that doesn't involve any fights? Since the passionate co-hosts are comfortable sharing their opinions, there have been many arguments between The View's co-hosts that were more than a little bit intense. While there are some heartwarming moments like when Barbara Walters left, viewers also remember the fiery conversations since they happen so often.
When Raven-Symoné and Candace Cameron Bure were co-hosts on The View at the same time, they didn't have the same perspective on many sensitive topics. There was one time in particular when the stars got into a fight. Here's what their relationship was like afterward.
Candace Cameron Bure And Raven-Symoné's Friendship Status After Their Fight On The View
On July 7th, 2015, Raven-Symoné and Candace Cameron Bure argued on The View. According to Us Weekly, the conversation focused on a bakery in Oregon that didn't make a cake for a gay couple who was getting married.
While The View co-hosts and actresses didn't see eye to eye on this topic, it doesn't seem like they continued to fight after this episode aired. It also doesn't seem like they were friends before the discussion. Neither star has said that they ever spent time together off-set, and it's possible that they only met because they were both co-hosts on The View at the same time.

Although Raven-Symoné doesn't seem to have commented on her fight with Candace Cameron Bure or the status of their relationship afterward, Bure talked about The View episode in an interview with Huff Post Live. Bure said:
"I was pleased with, you know, how I handled myself."
Bure added, "I'll always fight for religious freedoms, but I think people misunderstand that when you do fight for religious freedom, in that particular case, it doesn't mean that I personally would always respond the way the people in the case are responding."
While the stars didn't agree on this subject, they did agree on one thing: they didn't have positive experiences on The View. It's unclear if they ever talked about this off-air together, but they both found their co-hosting jobs to be too intense.
How Long Did Candace Cameron Bure And Raven-Symoné Co-Host The View?
- Bure: season 19 and season 20 (2015-2016)
- Symoné: guest host starting in 2012, co-host 2015-2016
Raven-Symoné talked about joining The View on the podcast Behind The Table and said that when she was discussing the possibility of being hired, she was told that the daytime show would be "different" than it ended up being. She said that she didn't talk about politics and was told that wouldn't be the focal point. As fans know, that didn't end up being the case and the co-hosts get into political conversations frequently, which is definitely a reason why there are so many fights. According to The New York Post, she said, “First of all, they told me this wasn’t going to be politically oriented when they revamped it. So, [I was] catfished for one.”

Candace Cameron Bure talked about The View on the same podcast. According to Entertainment Weekly, she was honest about not liking her co-hosting job. Whenever Bure has been interviewed about her other projects, such as her Christmas movies or her starring role as D.J. Tanner on Full House and Fuller House, she has been much more positive. It doesn't sound like the View was one of her favorite jobs.

Bure said, "The stress and the anxiety — I actually have a pit in my stomach right now. There was only one type of stress that I've ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I have PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard."
Inside Candace Cameron Bure And Raven-Symoné's Argument On The View
According to Us Weekly, Candace Cameron Bure shared her perspective on the bakery's decision. She said, "I don’t think this is discrimination at all. This is about freedom of association. It's about constitutional rights. It's about First Amendment rights. We do have the right to still choose who we associate with."
Symoné didn't agree and explained:
"The Oregon law bars businesses from discriminating against sexual orientation, race, disability, age or religion, and to me, it’s the same exact thing that they did back in the day saying that black people couldn’t do certain things because it's my 'religious belief.'"
The bakery's choice became a court case called "Klein v. Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries." According to Obg.org, the Oregon Court of Appeals ruled that there was discrimination.

According to the Christian Post, there was another time when The View co-hosts disagreed on a subject. Also in 2015, Symoné and Bure disagreed about prayer in schools. When Joe Kennedy, a coach in Washington, led his athletes in a prayer, Paula Farris said "Isn't he violating the federal law that bans prayer in schools?" When Bure said that he wasn't, Symoné replied, "That's not fair to somebody who doesn't pray... I shouldn't have to pray."
