Chris Brown had an interesting interaction with a fan earlier this week when he tossed her phone as she was filming him giving her a lap dance on stage.

Footage of the incident showed Breezy performing his 2007 hit “Take You Down” while the lucky fan sat on stage. The singer politely took the phone out of her hands before hitting his trademark dance moves. However, the fan couldn’t help herself and picked her phone back up to capture the moment.

As he got closer to the woman, Brown grabbed her phone again — only this time launching it into the audience as the venue’s lights dimmed down. The woman looked confused, and it didn’t take long for people to talk about the situation on social media.

Even Chris Brown himself shared the footage on his Instagram Story with a caption that read: “FUCK DAT PHONE.”

Fortunately, the fan was able to recover her phone at the end of the show thanks to a fellow concert-goer who had held onto it, as seen in a video shared online.

Brown once again saw the footage and took to his IG Story to react, writing: “Shawty got her phone back too..” along with a crying face emoji.

The Breezy singer isn’t the only artist to have tossed a fan’s phone off stage. There’s been an ongoing trend of fans throwing their devices on stage in hopes of an artist using them to capture footage, and Lil Uzi Vert had something similar happen to him.

During his electrifying performance at last year’s Wireless Festival in London, Uzi picked up a fan’s phone that had been tossed on stage and threw it into the air, allegedly striking someone in the crowd.

Baby Keem also trolled a fan who threw their phone on stage at one of his shows last year by recording multiple videos on the device before getting it back to them.

“N-gga, why the fuck you throw your phone on the homie’s stage?” Keem asked into the camera while backstage. “Now your phone mine. Yeah, n-gga. Now your phone is mine.”

In January, Fat Joe criticized people who would rather pull their phones out during a concert than sit back and enjoy it. According to Joey Crack, those fans need to start living in the moment.

“If you go to a show, and you pull your camera out and you’re recording, you’re not really in the moment,” Joe said. “You’re recording what’s going on. You’re not enjoying it. If you know how to live in the moment.”
